Have any companies independently tested the product for safety or effectiveness?Yes to both! The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) consists of both the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC). The AMPP, along with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), have all done unbiased testing of our products alongside our competitors. Scrutinizing things like the product laboratories, the materials we use, the coating in action, and corrosions testing, the coatings that CarbonArmor uses have certainly been through the ringer! The results of all testing have been published online, but here are some of the takeaways that we get asked about most often:
-
Where do CarbonArmor coatings rate on the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) scale? Many coating systems use organic solvents to improve how easily the product can be applied, making it flow easier, along with resins that aid in curing; both of these additives release VOCs which can be extremely harmful, particularly to the lungs when inhaled and to the ozone. We're happy to say that our products use high solids instead, meaning all products contain either "very low" or "zero" VOCs. To learn more about VOCs - what they are, where they're found, and their impact - visit the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AAMP) website at https://www.ampp.org/technical-research/what-is-corrosion/protective-coatings-learning-center/voc-regulation-and-coatings. Our coatings have been tested by the AAMP and others, and the results can be found online.

Where else has the industrial coating been used?More uses for the industrial coating come up every day, here are some current projects across the country: - Disney World's amusement rides and park equipment - New York's subway system - Exelon's pipeline - John Deere far equipment - Department of Defense vehicles - many more, and counting!
